Eligibility For ABAT American Board Of Applied Toxicology Certification Examination

  1. Candidate must be a graduate of a college or university with an earned doctoral degree in a biomedical discipline.
  2. Candidate must have completion of at least 12 months of post doctoral training in clinical toxicology or a closely related field.
  3. Candidate must demonstrate experience in all the areas of clinical, research and teaching activities and leadership.
  4. Candidate must be a member in good standing of the American Academy of Clinical Toxicology at the time of their application. 

Also it is mandatory to pay $500.00 as exam fee however if due to any reason application get rejected; only fee of $300.00 fee will be refunded.

Format Of ABAT American Board Of Applied Toxicology Certification Examination

This exam is administrated in two sections for two days. The first section is comprised of four multi part written, problem solving case study. These case studies cover a verity of topics including acute and chronic exposures, environmental or occupational toxicology, clinical study design and evaluation, expert testimony or the toxicology laboratory. The second is comprised to short answer questions covering a variety of toxicology topics.
