To appear for CHES - Certified Health Education Specialist exam candidate should bachelor degree/master degree or doctoral degree from higher institution and should have official transcripts of work experience in the health sector.

CHES - Certified Health Education Specialist includes 165 questions. Out of which 150 questions are scored, 15 are unscored. These questions are multiple choice question type and each question is complemented with four options. Total marks required to pass in the exam are 97 out of 150. Candidate should gain recertification as a health education specialist after a period of five years.
