CPP is a Payroll certification, authorized by American Payroll Association. It is for those professionals who are highly skilled in terms of Payroll knowledge and relevant work experience. This certification signifies that person have the skills and knowledge to handle strategic management and to achieve company business goals.
The criteria to get certified as payroll professional is based on one of the following eligibilities:-
Either the person have 3 years of relevant Payroll experience out of the total five years of work experience, which will calculated till before the exam date.
Candidate has completed few of the courses listed by APA in the website.
In last eighteen months, has completed the FPC and have completed it within eighteen months, with certain courses offered by APA.
The exam will have 190 multiple choice questions including the pre test 25 questions, with four to complete the exam, however pre test questions would not be counted in the, so basically there will be 165 scoring questions for the employee and employee would not be informed about the same, so it is always advisable to try to answer all the questions.
The questions will test candidate on Payroll knowledge and also it will test candidate skills on executing that knowledge in the different payroll environments. Every question will have four options and only of them will be correct.
