Eligibility For IAAP CAP Certified Administrative Professional Exam

To appear in the exam, its mandatory to have at least one of the following:  
• A bachelor’s degree and two years administrative experience
•An associate degree and three years of relevant professional experience
•Four years of experience if the candidate who does not have a degree  
 
All experience certificates which are earned by the applicants should be verified by the company. Certficate proof of diploma or degree should be submitted to the relevant authorities. Professional experience act as an important eligibility for these exams .

The candidate should have 15 years of administrative experience. The candidate should be positioned in the similar job role for 12 months atleast in last five years. If the candidate doesn't have proper experience, the certification process requires them to have education for six years to meet eligibility requirement.

Syllabus Of IAAP CAP Certified Administrative Professional Exam

IAAP CAP consists of approximately 350 questions to be completed in four and half hours.

  • Electronic and manual file management and systems
  • Filing rules and standards
  • Security and confidentiality of records
  • File retrieval, retention, transfer and maintenance

  • Purchasing decisions
  • Maintaining inventory of supplies, forms and software
  • Software and equipment training/usage
  • Installation and maintenance of equipment/software

This entire test consist of about 350 multiple choice questions which are required to be submitted in four ½ hours of time .
