Eligibility For REM Registered Environmental Manager

The eligibility conditions for candidate to sit for exam are a bachelor s degree in the environmental degree program for e.g. biology, physical and health sciences, engineering and environmental majors. Three years of recognized environmental management work experience can be substituted for the eligibility condition for every one year of professional education. The candidate must have five years of work experience directly related to areas of environmental engineering, health, science, or management. Also the candidate is required to submit original proof of education documents as well as provide answers to six questions based on criminal history and related background.

Format Of REM Registered Environmental Manager

The format of the question paper is a multiple choice question paper where the total numbers of questions are 150 to be answered in either paper or pencil or computer based format. The candidate has at least two hours and forty five minutes of time to complete the paper. The passing score in the examination is 700 marks or better. The fees for the examination are a total $300. The subject matter of the examination comprises the topics from coordinating and managing major environmental health and safety (EH&S) projects and programs. This includes environmental auditing, hazardous materials management and transportation and real estate environmental assessment aspects. The exam is conducted at any one of the 350 centres located in the US.
